Escort site condemned for porn ad

Explicit posters plastered on a pickup truck parked downtown have earned the administrator of an escort company a hefty fine.

Advertising space refuses his posters? No problem! The owner of a website offering the services of sex professionals stuck them on his pickup truck, parked downtown. But these evocative images didn't please a motorist, who called the police, followed a few weeks later by the City of Geneva, writes the "Tribune de Genève". As a result, the vehicle was towed away, and the administrator of the rascal site received a suspended sentence for pornography and a fine of 5,600 francs.

For him, this is an injustice, as his posters represent a mosaic of works by contemporary artists. A position that the courts found totally implausible, says the daily, as the ads had no artistic merit and overemphasized genitalia. The administrator thus exposed the public, and potentially young people under 16, to pornographic images and contravened traffic law by distracting road users.
